“Dialectical” simply means holding two truths at once. 

In DBT, it means learning how to:

  1. Accept your current reality
  2. While also working toward meaningful change. 

You’ll learn how to balance your emotional mind and logical  mind so they can work together to guide your choices, instead of pulling you in opposite directions.
